Hi there
I thought that maybe you might want to give Tania feedback directly from me… J
Wow, what a Team to work with…dynamic, fun, exciting, hard working with absolutely remarkable personalities.
This team put together really takes the meaning of ‘team spirit’ to another level, they assisted me in every way possible to make the refinery event the success it was.
The support not only from Venessa, Marlene and Greg but from their extended companies gave the extra touch of event satisfaction…from sound to lighting, to deco…to quick thinking and hands on work..
Thanks for guiding and helping me make it through those days.

Team,

After the “chief honcho’s” apprehension regarding the event, he has conveyed his gratitude to a well-co-ordinated effort today.

Many thanks, let’s do the same tomorrow

On behalf of Altech Netstar, I’d like to thank you for the tremendous contribution made by Klipdrift Gold towards our business partner event at the Cape Town Jazz Festival.  We had been quite concerned about the fact that we were inviting customers and potential business partners from different regions, who did not know one another, and many of whom did not know their Netstar hosts either.  We thus felt that Klipdrift Gold could possibly form a catalyst to ‘break the ice’, and you did not disappoint.  The excursion to Robertson, the refreshments on the busses, the tour of the distillery, and the service from the staff at the distillery, was superb.  The lunch in Guguletu was a magnificent outing – our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and spoke very highly of this event.  Your involvement certainly strengthened the bonds between us.  Thank you again for making this possible.

I wish you and Klipdrift Gold, whom you represent with such distinction, a great business year!

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Oude Meester Blue Door event at the Aston Martin Showroom in Sandton on Thursday evening.

My first thought was that it was an odd place to host an event for a Brandy, although a Premium one.

Walking in, through the very Blue door that the name suggests, the fit seemed totally logical. The premium motor brand, in my opinion, the only sports car that has a sophisticated air about it, I have never seen someone with an Aston Martin baseball cap, an ‘I’m too sexy for my shirt’ T-shirt swigging back a lager. Have you?

It is a sports car that speaks of class not only speed and cash.

Oude Meester is one of the very premium brandy’s we produce in SA. And it will only gather more momentum in the ‘class’ stakes if the current event organizers and people responsible for events like this carry on in the same way.

With Jamie Fox as the new face of Oude Meester it oozes class, quality and a confident maturity, and that’s before you have had a sip.

The crowd in attendance seems to represent the way forward for the brand. Young, vibrant and exciting. The MC for the night Nimrod Nkosi, kept it short, but in that time he had the audience captured and was far funnier than I had expected. The musical entertainment for the night were very good but was sorely let down by the acoustics inside, it is after all a motor showroom. Tile, glass and steel, not to mention the beautiful white Vantage standing in the corner have no acoustic property at all. The canapé’s been served all night were delicious, one can never get a full tummy from an event like this but I never left wanting.

Now to the important bit! The drinks!

Walking through the door I was welcomed by my name being projected on the wall and 3 gorgeous young ladies in Oude Meester navy blue mini dresses and a tall ‘Benjamin Franklin’. No not a guy in dress up, a cocktail of Oude Meester Demant (10 year old), the rind of a lemon, a splash of Angostura Bitter and Ginger Ale served in a tall glass on ice. It was so good, the second even better and the third on a par with the first.

The Reserve 12 year old with 2 cubes of ice was how I ended the evening. It has been one of my favourite brandies for a long time and it never disappointed. Smooth, rich and full bodied. Once the ice had melted the texture and finish of the Cognac styled brandy was superb. If it wasn’t for the strict drink and driving laws and that Oude Meester promotes responsible drinking I would have been tempted to have another. Instead I took my gift bag, complete with a bottle of the Demant and a Cigar and headed home to have the next drink in the comfort and safety of my home.

Funny, I can’t think of many better ways to spend a balmy Thursday evening in Johannesburg than sipping on Oude Meester in the company of fun and exciting people, feeling a bit like James Bond for a while!

To the Vinous  Gem you have in your glass, whatever it is!

Cheers
